The confidence and composure he showed tonight in a rowdy atmosphere, close game, against a rival was unbelievable considering where he was just a few months ago."

If Cat continues/improves his current form, should we be worried about him leaving for the NBA?

This, all the way. He's still not a pure PG, but he's controlling the game and making plays when he has to. I'm not sure I ever remember a player improving as much as Cat mid-season. Just praying he keeps it up.

Also, give credit to Gott for altering the offense to help Cat and Lacey. We are running a lot more high-ball screens for those guys, which leads to more driving lanes and freedom on offense. We should have been doing this all year, but it's good to see Gott make changes instead of letting his ego get in the way.

I'm here to a gigantic slice of crow on Cat. I shouldn't have hammered him when he wasn't playing well, and ever since the light came on he has gone on a tear. We wouldn't be anywhere near the dance without him today.

I'm sorry Cat.

It's been an exercise in patience but GOD DAMN we have a point guard!!! Anthony 'Cat Daddy' Barber! MVP of that UNC win.

He needed to play better, plain and simple. The way our team is currently constructed, with limited scoring from the post, we needed elite point guard play. That was clearly part of Gott's plan when he recruited Cat, and it's finally panning out.

if he is shooting a better 3ball by end of year, then he will def get serious NBA attention - and he should.

Even if he plateaus from his current level of performance thru the end of the year and we exit the ACC/NCAAT early, he will still get a bit of NBA attention given the clear potential he has and is actually starting to develop into results.

My gut says: there isnt anyone on our roster next year who will srsly challenge him for minutes, so he will stick around and play most of every game (unlike this year when he missed lots of time). He will want to pad his stats and media coverage on a team that is challenging for an ACC title all season so that he is in the NBA conversation for more than a whole year and has a higher projected draft slot. Odds are very high that he leaves after his junior year, and we have a serious hangover in trying to find another effective PG thereafter...

So we'd be much better with Tyler Lewis starting at PG, right guys?

Tyler Lewis is garbage. I like how impatient he was to blow Twitter up with himself in a Butler uniform, and thus photoshopped 2 pics from when he played here.

Since he's got the long hair, I would totally love it if he straightened it out for a couple games, and went with the full-on pimp look.

since his return to the starting lineup @GT he has been like a totally different player. He attacks at the right times, hes getting to the rim, hes taking his mid range jumper at the right times, hes facilitating like a real PG. I don't know what clicked for him at that moment but good googly moogly. Like night and day from the first half of the season.

Apparently Gott had a heart-to-heart with him around that time and basically said he believed in him. I've always thought he had a good-looking shot, but it finally started going in consistently in the GT and especially the WFU game.

But the big thing (I think) is that Gott switched up the offense a bit to fit his strengths. We're setting a lot of high-ball screens instead of running the high post. This gives Cat more driving lanes and chances to create off the dribble, and he's been killing it.

Cat= baller

He does things that I remember seeing him do on high school mixtapes. And that's when you're like "yeah but he can't do that against acc players" except he is.

Hes become what I think alot of people were hoping he would become when we signed him. He's a stud right now. It's amazing his transformation from midseason to now. He's playing so confidently. I remember when I was afraid to watch him bring the ball up the court by himself. Now...I mean...damn
