By Respawn Entertainment (a team made from most of the Infinity Ward team that made the COD & first Modern Warfare games). Announced at E3 and looked awesome there but it's playable at Gamescom and is getting great feedback from everyone playing it.

I mean technically its coming to the 360 also. It's exclusive to Microsoft platforms. Whether its timed or not is currently speculation.

I'm okay with it...slows down the idiots that respawn and just run back to where they die only to get mowed down again. I can live with an escalating respawn time that's dependent on how long your last life lasted.

^^^ perhaps, but id rather just mow those idiots down and let them have their fun than get unlucky and have a bunch of snipers in every match while you derp around waiting to respawn.

im an old school quake lover and i hate the trend of 2 bullets and i die. i dont play shooters to be on a tactical squad, i play them to blow jawnz up. i find halo strikes a nice balance so if it is in that vein, im happy.

was gonna post that. the player cap doesn't bother me at all.

including AI in multiplayer bothers me a lot. it's bad enough when you have crap teammates that give free kills to the enemy, but now you're adding fodder that will -always- be present even when you have a full team of 6. in all honesty, that factor alone makes me want to wait and see how reviews come out after release... i have no interest in playing AI (i'd play a campaign/story mode if i did).

I, too, was concerned about that, and I found this which seems to clear some of that issue up.

It's still a little enigmatic, but I don't get the impression we're looking at full on having bots flesh out every team. Even having the titan as an AI doesn't seem so much different than your guard dog or juggernaut in Ghosts.

Also, from what I've been reading, there is no true campaign/multiplayer modes. They're supposed to be integrated together into one gametype, and I'm pretty interested to see that executed. Seems a little like the SpartanOps in Halo4, only you're playing against other people rather than AI.

I don't mind the idea of Titans being AI when you aren't controlling them - like you said, killstreak-ish. I'm hoping for two things here:
* AI characters will be easily distinguishable from real players
* Kills/etc against AI characters won't count towards Titan/killstreak/reward type stuff.. or be minimal compared to actually taking out a real player

I already knew about the AI from the video they put out some time ago. Some things I remember:

The human players are called "Pilots" because they are the only ones that can use titans.
AI kills are worth less points.
The smart pistol weapon only targets AI opponents, no free headshots against other players
And I'm thinking the titans aren't a kill streak reward but rather a timed reward, but I may be wrong about that.

I HAD high hopes for this game. Every time they release more information the level of expected suckage goes way up. Mark my words this game is gonna be on the level of COD Ghosts. AI in online multiplayer, 6 v 6 on maps big enough for titans? (enjoy flying around with your jet pack looking for anything other than a bot), EA's shitty servers (anyone that owns battlefield chime in on the X1 servers). I cancelled my preorder.

I'm still holding on to my preorder and keeping cautiously optimistic. It seems like this will definitely be a different variety of FPS, and I'm trying to keep an open mind about it.

It's hilarious how BlackJesus hates Call of Duty so much for being the same shit for the last decade, and then cancelled his preorder for Titanfall because its not going to be the same as the other first person shooters of the past decade.

BlackJesus just seems to hate games in general. His entire thread on Forza is nothing but a bitch fest. I don't understand why you would spend so much time/money on something that you hate so much. This still looks fun and I'll still get it on day 1. My wife is looking forward to it as well which means all the more to me.

just for what it's worth, you can wish for something different and still expect that the difference is good. the difference i really want: a death to quickscoping/no scoping, and games that aren't sometimes ruined by lag issues.

making the NPCs worth significantly less points/etc helps the concept considerably... i'd just personally prefer they weren't there in the first place. if they can execute well, it shouldn't be a big deal, but if they screw it up the NPCs will be a distraction at best and an interference at worst.

i'm getting a little older with each game release and now realizing that i have to be much more on edge to keep up with the young whippersnappers... i don't have quite the same reaction time as i did in high school/college. adding NPCs into the multiplayer, to me, means more moving things i have to see/determine threat/ignore. i'm hoping they're easy to differentiate visually.

Once again TWW brings the retard fanboy unlike any other site. "Bitch fest" Its bitching to point out that a game was rigged up to make money on microtransactions? Dude just shut the fuck up and don't respond to my post. Go download greasemonkey.

Here's a list of things I hate.

1. COD GHOST
2. AI BOTS
3. HUGE ASS EMPTY MAPS
4. ANYTHING THAT OVER PROMISES AND UNDER DELIVERS.

Also I own every COD aside from BLOPS 1 AND BLOPS2. I love a good balanced fps. Do you people really think the team that gave use Modern Warfare is capable of implementing AI at a level that is remotely fun to play against? The bots will either be completely unstoppable, or suck ass and be a cheesy way to level up. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO PROGRAM THE AI TO BE BALANCED AND FAIR. They will cater to the lowest common denominator just like every other game they've made. The end.

The AI is not meant to be significant, they're mostly meant to be fodder and apparently the points from killing them will be minimal. Mostly they're there to give a more hectic feel to the match, and provide easy kills for beginners so they won't feel completely dominated by more experienced players.

I feel like BlackJesus may have rabies after that frothing-at-the-mouth post. Go get yourself checked out dude, it's just a game. I'm looking forward to something a little bit different, and you're not exactly going to talk someone out of buying this game so why get so butthurt?

No where in my posts have I complained about it being the same game. My complaints are caused by them taking a great formula and butt fucking it.

You people think COD developers are gonna make a first person shooter that isn't COD like. To each his own. I'll redbox this game when it comes out, if I enjoy it then I'll buy.
