You're drunk

Stopped by to check out the new Tahoe today. I really like the interior. The exterior will grow on me.

$68k for Ltz. Y'all are out of your mind.

Sir Walter has an LTZ for $57.5k. $68k seems like an outlier.

How much were you expecting it to be?

What are some vehicles in the same class that are significantly cheaper? Seems like most vehicles in that class are are priced similarly.

LOL, I have a G8 GT, I went and looked at the SS. Same effect.

No way in hell I'd pay 48k for a V8 Malibu.

While I understand that nice new vehicles cost money, and larger, fancier vehicles cost more money, anyone who would pay $70K for a Chevrolet that isn't a 'Vette should be taken out back and shot, or at the very least sterilized to keep their sad, misguided genes from spreading.

Yes I would prefer to wait 2-3 years and get it for half that price.

It would be one thing if Tahoe interiors felt like a Lexus or something but they feel similar to the Cruz.

The SS is more of a rebadged G8. The exterior is all Malibu/impala, I honestly couldn't tell which was which until I look at the rear and saw the SS badge. I wouldn't drop 70k on a vette, the price will be 40k or less in 2 years, just wait on it.

BTW once I finish my move I'll be getting my bump stick, then I'm off to wreck a galaxie

Bill's going to have to get in line, there's an ugly black truck sitting on 255's - waiting to show you it's tailgate.

I've always said Chevy's most consistent trait is their signature rental car interior.

Worst car I've ever driven was a Chevy. Rented Chevy HHR... worst driving car, by FAR the worst interior of any car I've been in, and it was ergonomically horrible.

The interior is actually really nice in this Tahoe but still not $70k nice. I think the sticker on my 2004 Tahoe was 44k. My 08 was $55k. Both are 4wd with all options. I guess in 2020 they will be $100k?

The silverado(for the most part) interiors are nice.

But that is a ridiculous price for that...hell, 30k is a lot for a new SUV IMO

As I said, the average price for these things isn't $70k. That's probably something with most/all of the options, including some $4000 wheels or something too.

That doesn't show anyone paying over $60k for one, with ~$55k being the average for a 4WD LTZ, and $40k being the average price paid for a 2WD LT.

In all seriousness why would you ever consider buying a SUV? Either you need a truck (go buy a truck) or you need a van (go buy a van).

What if you need something like a van but with truck capabilities? I think an SUV would be a good solution. What do you think?

Not in my opinion, if I need something with truck/van capabilities, I'd buy a extended cab pickup. I personally hate SUV's.

Why are you trolling? You and anyone else can go buy a SUV, but unless you got a family of 10, theres no real reason to own one, imo.

Extended Cap truck is the best of both worlds.

A little higher, but $70k is still quite far from the average.

What 4X4 full size high-trimmed SUV is significantly cheaper, outside of the POS Kias?

seeing as he's ignoring my call-out. I'll give a retort on the SUV thing:

- SUV's are typically shorter wheelbase than trucks. This helps in many situations
- a truck as short as an SUV either has no extra interior space (reg cab) or no usable bed space
- SUV suspension is typically softer than truck suspension
- my truck's going to spank that G8.

ITB moms used to like Tahoes, but they have fallen out of fashion. The only ITB people who drive Tahoes now are ITB kids who got the hand-me-down from mom.

1/8th mile, on the track.

but don't worry, if I'm still running street tires I'll break traction around 40 or so since I've got such a tight converter and can only get ~7psi on the line

I bought a 2010 HHR and I like it. They upgraded the interior in later models; a lot of the pre-2010 models had a number of problems and recalls as well. Visibility sucks a little bit in it though, especially in left turns because the GIANT pillars can get in your way. I think it's been discontinued now though, not too surprising. I just got it because it was in my price range and has plenty of storage space.
