Yeah. Wary of Bojangles. They just recently got it here and didn't grow up around it. They are all about Popeyes chicken here are very resistant to change. Fortunately Popeye's is like horse swill compared to Bojangles so all it took was one try and my local friends have switched to Bojangles.

if you go at 11:30 or 12:00 pm on a sunday, just go drive thru. Church crowds all go inside and mess you up.

Read this thread today thinking "I don't have that many problems with them getting my order wrong."

Just went to the one on the edge of Cary and they forgot the egg and cheese on my steak biscuit.

i've noticed if you add "please" to end of your order, accuracy of said order greatly increases

^Ain't no motherfucker from Eastern NC raised that don't amend a please.

Please and a goddamn smile is what makes my burrito bowl at Chipotle bigger than yours.

^i figured that if any fast food restaurant (aside from bbq specific places, like smithfields) could pull off a halfway decent bbq sandwich, it'd be bojangles. still haven't tried it myself.

currently enjoying a cajun filet + cheese biscuit.

BBQ there is pretty good. Not as good as you will get at a place they smoke their own whole hogs of course, but I'd say it's neck and neck with Cook Out as the best fast food barbecue you can get. It's miles better than the stuff places like subway and hardees put out when they try and have a barbecue menu item.

i've never had the desire to try anything that subway or hardee's or whatever call "barbecue". doesn't even look halfway appetizing. but i can only imagine how bad it would be

use your hand to cover when opening the honey mustard. 9/10 it will spray every where if you don't.

The fish sammich is rough.

Just your common deep fried fish with cheese and mayo on top.

It's really underwhelming.

Smoked sausage biscuit is pretty good. Tand's franchises had it before it was an official item, so I'm sure they'll still have it. Same for the cheddar bo.

Outside of the OG chickfila chicken sando that place is garbage. Not even remotely comparable to Bojangles, unless you have a very basic/boring palate.

I recently learned that in South Carolina the two-piece dinner, dark meat ... is not called a quarter dark.

Fam was in Myrtle beach and we pulled through a place and I had to repeat myself like three times at the speaker, and we pulled up to the window and I heard the manager tell the lady running the window "...because they're from North Carolina and that's what they call it up there."

Blows my mind that the Cheddar Bo would be slow selling. Also, why would those motherfuckers get rid of it even if it is? It's not like it's burdensome to keep some cheddar cheese around.

^I think its because many locations never have the Cheddar Bos made and ready to go. Probably 3/4s of the time I order it, its always “ok, that’ll be about 5 mins on that cheddar bo.” So I’ll just order something else instead, because while I really like them, I dont like them enough to stand around while they cook.

[Edited on August 20, 2018 at 8:11 AM. Reason : I have no idea why they dont have them ready to go. Double baking the biscuits is a pain???]

It's not just a Bojangles thing. I've heard a bunch of places (Alpaca, Boston Market, etc.) say "quarter dark" for a thigh and drumstick and "quarter white" for a breast and wing.

Cheddar Bo is fucking awesome. My town only has two Bo's and one is on the complete other side of the city. The one next to me got the Cheddar Bo for like 6 months then it was taken off the menu. I was disappoint.

It's not called a "quarter dark" at North Carolina Bojangles either.
