Tuco is one of my favorite characters.

That 2nd episode has me addicted.

It has been so long since I've seen him in BB, this is all I can think of when I hear Tuco:

I love when he says, "Look at that". I couldn't stop maniacally laughing when he was breaking their legs. Gilligan knows how to please the fans.

Maybe they'll show up in the last episode? I could see the final shot being Walt walking in for his first meeting with Saul.

I'd expect Hank to show up sometime too, especially if Saul starts helping out Tuco's friends with legal matters.

I'm pretty sure Dean Norris said he didn't want any part of Saul. But i'm sure his tune would change if the show becomes a hit.

"While Better Call Saul has already snared Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, and anyone who can’t shake the itch for one more hit of Breaking Bad, even in less pure form, Dean Norris, for one, is trying to go clean. The erstwhile Hank Schrader told the Associated Press he doesn’t want to return to the role that made him famous, as a well as a meme where he takes a shit.

“I think that experience was that experience. I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done,” Norris said—and if that sort of seems like a dig at Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for doing exactly that, consider that he also said of his new bosses at CBS’ Under The Dome, “I don’t think they’ll let me do a little cable show.” So really, you just have to put his comments in the perspective of someone who’s moved on to more culturally important endeavors, like Under The Dome. It’s also possible Norris was simply being tongue-in-cheek: “But I think it’s going to be awesome. So I can’t wait to see it,” he concluded of this little cable show of which he otherwise wants no part.

But while we may never see Dean Norris leaving his integrity dome and pretending to be a younger Hank, Aaron Paul says he’s in “serious talks” with Gilligan about the idea of “jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days,” and into the more carefree hoodies he wore back when cooking meth was just a lark. “Anything Vince is involved with, I'm there. I owe him my entire career,” Paul said, in the parlance of a true addict. "

That just has to be a sarcastic comment. I can't imagine anyone saying that with a straight face

If I've learned anything about Vince Gilligan, he won't let something that predictable happen in a series of his

a bit much to look forward to the final shot of a show that's only two episodes in

and would it really be that awesome if you expected it?

yup it's not like this is a mini-series. 2nd season has already been ordered.

speaking of which:

Quote :
"The debut episode set a record for best series premiere in cable history, with 4.4 million viewers in the 18–49 demographic."

(6.88 million total)

It was to show that he had promised his brother he would quit being a criminal which is probably impacting his decisions with his current dilemma. (I'm sure I could have worded it better)

As far as we know, he's been a completely law abiding citizen up until now. Even with the skateboard scammers -- he didn't want to get money out of the couple, he just wanted to guilt them into letting him represent them as a lawyer. A little shady, but he hasn't done anything illegal yet, and look where it has gotten him. Nobody takes him seriously and he is living in his tiny office in the back of a nail salon. So I guess a big part of the show will be his downfall from a moral high ground to a scumbag lawyer for crooks.

I think it also is showing that he doesn't want to get himself implicated in the whole illegal actions that his clients do but somehow he always gets drawn in. He doesn't want to.

The most recent episode (third) flashed-back to Jimmy in handcuffs in jail, and his older brother Chuck coming to the jail to save him. Chuck ridiculed Jimmy for his criminal lifestyle and for calling mom and crying for her/Chuck to save him. Said in addition to other charges, he could be charged with sexual assault, or some other sex crime.

The show alludes to this when Jimmy tries to explain the hospital bill for the broken legs to Chuck

So I heard a couple weeks ago that Better Call Saul (does anyone abbreviate it as BCS yet?) had the highest ratings of ANY series premiere in television history. Makes sense given how big BB was, but I found it interesting.

Agreed, great episode

I caught the tarantula reference but was having trouble remembering the actual scene in Breaking Bad. I looked it up and it was during the train heist. The kid Todd killed was carrying it in a jar and Todd kept it.

With this, the Americans & Justified, Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays are pretty great on TV right now.

This episode was obviously the most similar to a Breaking Bad episode with how much darker it was than the Better Call Saul episodes that came before it and Jonathan Banks should absolutely submit this episode for the Emmy's.

pretty frustrated. I've missed the last two episodes and for whatever reason the AMC online full episodes thing keeps messing up my authentication and the site I usually stream stuff from's files are corrupted for those episodes.

Really? Other than a reveal on Mike I didn't think it was that awesome. Not BB quality for sure and barely on par with the other episodes of BCS.

I get learning about Mike's past is great but nothing really captivated me.
