Runaway Jury was alright. The book was about suing the tobacco industry, not the firearm industry.

12 Angry Men was very good if you're ok with a b&w movie

The Firm was good but there was literally no courtroom stuff at all.

Primal Fear is worth the watch.

^courtroom kick?

The Fablemans was okay, interesting, but definitely had some cheesy/cringey scenes.

Empire of the Sun (also Spielberg, 1987) was very good. And a 13-year old Christian Bale was amazing, especially for his first movie.

yes, lots of legal movies

was Empire of the Sun the one with a tense scene of him or some other kid crawling through some grassy watery area to escape the enemy?

Should check out a movie called Jury Duty, featuring an under-rated performance by a young Paul Shore.

^^Yeah, as John Malkovich, Ben Stiller and Joe Pantoliano look-on and bet on whether he'll get caught.

Watched
they cloned Tyrone on Netflix

Writing was weak, and I thought it had some slightly anti semitic undertones, but the ending was interesting

Headed back to Raleigh from Austin TX now, was at the first 4 days of Fantastic Fest

Dream Scenario- new Nic Cage sci-fi comedy drama movie was fun

When Evil Lurks - really good brutal horror movie. Had a great mythology they built, add it to your Halloween time watch list. Going to some theaters and then Shutter

Last Stop in Yuma County - really great neo-noir. 1000% recommend. If you like the vibes of Bad Times at the El Royal, you’ll like this.

Wake Up - was a pretty fun little slasher, crazy security guard at an IKEA type store slaughtering activists

Kill - Indian action movie, fucking incredible. So much stabbing on a train. Also bone breaking, head crushing, neck snapping action. Seek this out when you can if you’re an action fan.

I'm going to try to see if I can fit it in. We watch my old DVD at least once a year, it really is an amazing performance/video, an all-time great.

I remember seeing a really funny "Work-out with David Byrne" video a while back that went through every song/performance of that concert, but can't find it quickly now.

I did not like Barbie.
My wife did not like Barbie.

It was way shallower than we imagined and the characters weren't lovable. I wanted more Alan (Michael Cera).

Just watched No Hard Feelings. I was expecting more gross humor than what it had, but I thought it was pretty enjoyable. I guess I was expecting Farrell (sp?) brothers humor.

I’m so trained on movies having twist endings these days I kept expecting her to discover that his dad was also her dad.

I watched Transformers Rise of the Beasts last night. It's not the best Transformers movie yet like they were claiming. I enjoyed it though. And it looks like there are more than likely going to be some Hasbro crossovers in the future. They set it up for that. We'll have to wait and see.
