To believe something is going to go down you have to believe Trump was telling the truth that previous business was outside the scope of the Mueller investigation and even if he was telling the truth.. his wranglers or the last person he talked to would just change his stance on that statement and any action he may have considered to stop the investigation.

I'm more intrigued by the fact that Mueller is asking questions that pretty much cover literally all of the rest of the dossier.

Tbf, in this case he’s right. Of course Trump made the opposite point on twitter claiming he didn’t decide until after Russia started its influence campaign but he had been making inroads and preparing for years.

Seems to me that means it's not inconsistent with Abramson's narrative but that it IS inconsistent with Trump's narrative.

The narrative is that he chose THIS election SPECIFICALLY to run after the interactions with Russian businessmen and intelligence agents. The evidence, thus far, supports this narrative from a logical standpoint. It still remains to be proven but there is no inconsistency simply because he chose to commit treason now as opposed to 10 years ago.
