I haven't been able to watch every game but Chelsea are just terribly inconsistent it seems. Palace hadn't scored an f'n goal all year and we give up 2 and lose.

well one was an OG but, the back line has been a mess this season. Cahill has been poor and Azpilicueta has started to show signs of fatigue. Plus Kante's injury has shown why he was player of the year last season, midfield is not same without him.

I’m just happy Arsene figured out playing his best three attacking players together means the attack is better..

That Burnley goal was costly. City had a better start but Spurs are getting stronger every match. It's still only a 5 point lead with 29 play. Anything can happen.

I doubt he would get sacked during the season, but depending on how the Spring unfolds I could certainly see them parting ways with him in Summer if it got off the rails.

City will also hit a patch of bad form. Out of the last 25 years, only 8 times has the leader at Matchweek 9 won the league. Teams have overcome a 5 point gap 8 times, with the largest gap being 8 points by United in 2008/09 and Blackburn in 1994/95.

The league is far from over despite how good City look at the moment. Pep is still going to find it hard to cope with the Christmas fixtures and then the scheduling once the FA cup and CL knockouts start. I still think down the stretch United probably has the best depth and our run of matches last year has given us that experience too to grind out results at the end. The biggest difference for us is Pogba. Keep Pogba fit and we have a real shot at the title. He is the only midfielder we have that can actually make our attack tick.

At home against spurs is a great test and United have 7 of the top 8 in the next 8 or 9 matches. Will be interesting to see how much the squad has improved. I am hoping for a much better performance against spurs than the one we saw at anfield. Hopefully Fellaini is back to bully the spurs defense.

Should be a great match with 2 pretty even teams however with the form that Spurs are in, I'd have to say I would be disappointed if we don't get all 3. Kane is scoring for fun and the entire team is clicking right now.

Also the Ajax 3 just shut down Real Madrid and Liverpool's attack. I would highly doubt they're losing a minute of sleep over Fellaini lol

I mean, it sucked for sure. But wasn't really like Spurs dominated. Lovren handed two goals on a platter, Mignolet did Mignolet things for one, and the Dele goal was just atrocious set piece defending to head it back across the center of goal and he took it very well. 4 obvious individual mistakes that led to goals being taken by good Spurs players. I thought LFC had decent possession and some good chances really.

I honestly don't see how Klopp's system is to blame for any of those goals. Again, he is 100% to blame for sticking with Lovren but people who don't watch the games are only going to see the score line.

And responding to Nym up there, there have been some bad moments but I think the only truly bad game LFC has had was City. I'm disappointed but then again, i'm still optimistic based on the quality of the offense, especially when Mane/Lallana are back.

Poch said in August we didn't give a fuck about these cups and the focus was the league and the champions league this season. He confirmed that when he pulled off both strikers down a goal yesterday.

I hate it was West Ham, but I'm fine with going out. One less competition on their legs.

Conversely if Spurs had won out in that cup, but faltered and fell out of the top 3 (or 4) at seasons end it would not have been overly worth it, and the critics (see above) would have hurr-hurred about it just the same but with nothing ahead.

we never talk about injuries. Other managers they cry, they cry, they cry when some player is injured. We don't cry.

Hahahahah. The cockiness of this is hilarious. No Pogba, Zlatan, Fellaini, and Rojo and the Harry Kane team couldn't even put our defense under pressure. Easily dealt with in defense and brilliant goal from Tony. Perfect today. "Lads it's Tottenham"

Delle Alli personifies this spurs side perfectly. Whining for 90 minutes always wying for attention but in the end just frustrated and throughly ineffective.

Poch sits on his ass for 60 min without a striker and takes long shots all match. No attacking intent whatsoever but of course it's only Jose that will get weeks of criticism.

The same Young that put in a MOTM shift against the swashbuckling in form Tottenham that shut down Real Madrid.

I'm Chelsea supporter but I think it funny you talk about diving twats. Every top team has one, hell Diego was the chief flopper in the BPL for his entire time in the BPL. Manure fans are all the same arrogant pricks who deserve to all be punched in the fucking face

how did we go from talking about Young to talking about diving? Didn't really have any reference to Alli diving as well, he is just a twat as most other fans think Young and Herrera are twats. If you had bothered to watch you would have noticed Alli's behavior goes well beyond diving. He just loves the attention and it makes you look like a prick when you aren't actually that good or consistently winning.

About that...

Meanwhile we're in position to win the group of death. I'm fucking proud of this team and how they performed both home and away against madrid. That will only build confidence in their mind, knowing they can outplay the back to back champs over two legs and take 4 points. Not many many clubs doing that to them.

lmao I was wondering when you would post. Congrats you beat a weak Madrid team clearly lacking any motivation after back to back CL titles. They lost to a shit Spanish team just 3 days ago.

Spurs still haven't won anything and the CL is def not something I can see this side winning. Great performance against Madrid but that doesn't mean you will go far in this tournament. I would be surprised if you made it past the quarters. The knockouts are a whole different game and this spurs team still hasn't shown the composure when the pressure is on. Old Trafford was a perfect example.

I haven't posted about anything last few weeks because i was traveling. The only reason I wanted to post about spurs was your cockiness pre match.

It's funny how you accuse me of having a loud mouth when just last week you were so giddy about beating Liverpool but avoided this thread after the united match.

Coquelin in the middle of a back 3 and Lacazette sitting on the bench. If you’re that stupid with your lineup you deserve to lose.

lol no crickets here. We deserved the loss and have the class to admit when we do. Kante didn't do anything special to make Mikhi not play. Mikhi has been playing like that since Pogba got hurt....

Can't wait for Conte to get sacked and take his wig back to Italy. Chelsea can have their annual beat United at the bridge party.

Glad Dele, Kane, and Winks all pulled out of the England squad to rest. We've got some knocks and it makes absolutely no sense to play two pointless friendlies right before the busiest part of the schedule. The only silver lining is Rose will get some minutes with nothing on the line to continue getting into match shape.

I'll be honest I hate international football. I get it, and I understand it's important, but it feels like the season gets so stop/start that as soon as teams start finding a rhythm there's another international break popping up to halt everything. There's been a two week break in Sept, Oct, and Nov now. It's obnoxious.

Alderweireld out till after Christmas. Good to see the spurs have another excuse built in for the tough christmas fixtures when all the pundits will just put any loss down to missing a key player. As if Liverpool, City and United haven't played half the season without missing integral parts of their squads.
