Hunter was never coming back, seems like UVA fans were legit surprised about Guy.

With Bennett and his system, I could see UVA losing it's top 5 or 6 contributors and still being a top 3 ACC team next year.

That top 3 was picked for 16-17 but not 15-16 or the last 2 seasons. And I would bet that UVA isn't picked 3rd this upcoming season (pending transfers in guess)

Duke, UNC, UVA have been the top 3 ACC preseason media teams 2 of the last 3 years. Two years ago UVA was picked to finish 6th.

Impossible to predict at this point with post-grads still moving around and guys still potentially returning, I expect those 3 teams to be the preseason top 3.

General consensus at this point is almost every ACC team is looking to get worse save for maybe UL and ND.

UNC will be extremely talented next year, but they'll lack experience and I'm not sure how long it'll take for all of these pieces to mesh. Roy has been used to coaching a bunch of vets, but he legit might be starting 3-4 first year(in his system) players.

This was pretty good. Borzello and Medcalf seem pretty reasonable and, I thought, avoided the lazy “NC State fans’ expectations are too high and are unrealistic” trope. I didn’t really agree with much of what Lunardi said...some of his comments seemed kinda lazy to me. He thinks NC State fans shouldn’t expect Final Fours with any regularity...I think most State fans just want more than 1 FF over a 40 years span. Or a conference title every two decades. No State fan genuinely think we should be making the FF regularly. Lunardi also basically said that by us winning in 1983, we set our own expectations too high because that was an unrepeatable feat. Which is kinda dumb imo.

Per new ACC scheduling, NC State opens our season against GT.

What do y'all think about this?

Personally, I think it's an easy way for the tournament-pickers to discredit whatever wins come out of these early games--remove any credence from the win by saying it was an early game before the team was formed and set fully, so it should count less than it would under regular scheduling.
