I agree our receivers are definitely lacking. I was surprised we have not been bringing in more wide receiver recruits. Armstrong is decent but misses a lot of throws. I seem to remember Morris looking better last year than Armstrong has looked. Are we going to redshirt Morris all year regardless of how the season goes?

We seem quite disappointed after 2 of our 3 wins this year. And then you can’t take anything away from the VMI game. So we really haven’t felt happy about any result so far this year. So let’s figure out how often we, as State fans, are actually happy about the result of a football game

If we are going 6-6 or worse, I think id rather do it to with a young QB learning the system. I guess the question is whether the risk of injury/learning bad or losing habits is with the potential gain.

IDK this isn't the NFL. Guys have limited eligibility and wasting it on a lost season when there is someone else relatively capable who won't be around next year seems like a bad idea. In pro football? Hell yeah let the youngins play.

I think you're the first one to say a lost season that said barely beating uva doesn't bring confidence, they were looking like one of the worst teams in league. Hopefully McMahon, Rafael and some of our safeties just have short term injuries and maybe a road Friday game was just a bad showing. I suspect we'll be underdogs for every game rest of the season except VT and maybe Marshall, depending how this Friday goes.

I can see both sides of the Morris debate. I’m not terribly concerned with preserving his eligibility. If he’s really good he’ll transfer to an SEC school or go pro before playing out his full eligibility. But on the other hand, Doeren isn’t on the hot seat so we can afford a rebuild/reset year while Morris familiarizes himself with the new system.

Maybe we win on Friday! Who knows.

I’ve been going to games for damn near 25 years

it started out with one section doing it in the early-mid 00’s and has since grown as the younger generation has gotten older

No. They briefly tried to introduce someone on the sideline who spoke into a speaker which fed into megaphones in front of the student section in like 2017/18 (can't recall), but the speakers were shit and most people found it annoying. It lasted maybe 1 game.

As far as I'm aware, most chants/yells/traditions are spready by the band now. Which makes the decision to move them to the other end of the stadium all on their lonesome even more unfortunate.

What if we start something new for this game. everybody dont just start jumping up and down before the game, do a chant with it.

like...we start jumping and then along with it go "ooooooooooooo" and get louder like "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH" and then switch to "PACK! PACK! PACK! PACK! OOOOOO PACK! PACK! PACK! PACK! OOOOOOOOOOOO! POWER PACK! POWER PACK! BACK THE PACK!" and then play a loud rockin rap song or somethin. i think it would get things crazy.

I mean its hard to tell this early in the season. they haven't exactly been playing alabama each week but their offense has looked better than expected. Meanwhile our everything has looked worse than expected.

Def home/away differences for both teams too, and we are at home.

In August I would have guessed we'd be TD favorites but Lou is favored by 3.5

They gave up 35 points to GT. Only beat a pretty mediocre Indiana team by 7. And smashed a terrible BC team (even if they did give up 28 points).
