Wife got her first round on Christmas Eve. It was the Pfizer vaccine. She said it was easier than her flu vaccine and she had no reactions whatsoever. She goes back for shot to on the 1/15 and then she will be all good.

As for myself I think I can get it it in phase 1B now since I'm in education support.

Serious questions for those who do decide to take either of the mRNA (Pfizer, Moderna) vaccines:

1) If along with the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, one of the Chinese vaccines was also available in the US, would you choose to take it? The main Chinese vaccine is of the traditional variety, with whole inactivated virus (like the vaccines we got and our kids get), unlike these new-fangled mRNA vaccines.

2) What if the Chinese vaccine was the only one available in the US? Would you take it?

I'm eligible to be part of the second round of the second round of 1b (educators under 50yo). I'll be getting it once available, and I know my parents will as well (unknown on when they'll be eligible as 65 no conditions and soon to be 63 with conditions). I know that tensions in school are pretty high with mandated in person testing next week and the school board hasn't made a decision for next semester. If all school staff that can get vaccinated does then I think they'll push a return to the hybrid for older kids and full for elementary schools. Don't know how many parents and teachers will agree to that plan, but that's my gut feeling.

My girlfriend got the Pfizer a while back. No symptoms after first, second dose about 3 weeks ago. She has had on and off miserable arm pain ever since the second dose. Also she ran a fever the day after of 100.2 for almost 24 hours and was pretty fucked up for a day.

My gf got hers months ago. Arm is still sore from time to time. I think some of these people administering it have no idea what they are doing. They didn't even give her a Band-Aid and she comes back to the car with blood all over her arm
