Sucks. I think its regional server based though because I am reading that China gets something like 15 hours ahead of us.

I played briefly last night. it ran like shit on my alienware m11x. Not really sure why because I can run WoW on ultra and SCII on whatever the highest setting is just fine. I ran it on low settings (there was high and low) and it still lagged frequently, especially against bigger mobs.

I also thought the controls were a bit limited as you can only move by clicking like in the old one (it would be better if you could use awsd to move. I haven't tried the hunter class yet, only the mage. I'll update again if anyone's interested once I play some more.

played it some more today. they seemed to fix whatever issues there were with the lag, as I can now run everything on high graphics. I'm just not super stoked about this game, it's kind of like a low-rent WoW but way more basic and more arcade-y. if you're a die-hard fan of the series you'll probably like it (I played 1 an 2 a lot but wouldn't say I'm die hard) but it just doesn't feel like the epic 10-years in the making game that it should be.

Blizzard has openly admitted that this is a beta and that means beta graphical performance. I believe their exact words were, "This isn't some over-glorified demo, it's actually a beta." They continue to assure that the shipped product will be up to spec.

FYI

There is a rather annoying problem. If you have a RealID friend that plays SC2 it will cause the client to crash when attempting to log in.

If you're already in the game and they log on, it wont be long until the game crashes.

They've said they have fixed it a couple times but it was still doing it to me last night.

Hmmm I wonder if the beta download actually saves the install file anywhere. I downloaded the beta client then overwrote some of the files to play on a private server. Would obviously be much faster to just get rid of it and reinstall rather than have to download the whole damn thing again.

I played for about an hour last night.

Not very impressed. I was just clicking a shit ton as you'd expect, not even sure what was going on(wasn't reading or listening to any of the NPC talk) and the group I was with beat some boss and all the sudden it just says, "congratulations you beat the beta."

Obviously it is just low levels, but I don't see what is going to get better deeper into the game.

Right now not buying this, especially shipping without the pvp.
