FWIW, the latest Wolfpack Hustle (watch them if you haven't) featured Darius Hicks and his rehab. I know it doesn't mean he's not transferring, but I doubt they'd feature him if they knew he was transferring. Or maybe they're doing him a solid, showing how hard he's working to get back in shape and give him exposure to other teams that may be interested.

I don’t think Batts is awful on offense, just can’t shoot threes. Would have been worth a shot. I like Beverly and he has been solid but this was a bad matchup for him.

What exactly is it lacking from a Markell, Beverly, Freeman lineup? Neither batts or Freeman can shoot. Batts is a significantly better on ball defender. I don’t get the downside.

Who is Bev guarding in that lineup? Seems like there’d be a real mis-match somewhere. Freeman isn’t a great defender, but he has size that Batts and Bev don’t have when it comes to matching up. I don’t think we could go with that lineup for a long period of time.

I would’ve like to us go zone last night. They were getting to the rim with ease. Not sure I remember us going to the zone much this year at all. But it could’ve forced them to hit jumpers instead of easy layups.

Probabaly the same guy he guards when Freeman is in. Freeman is listed at 6'3, Batts at 6'2. And Batts is longer.

Batts is a terrible shooter, but by in large he plays within the offense and isn't the jackass throwing up crappy threes early in the shot clock.

I've been out on Freeman for a while. And I came back around when he started coming off the bench after the the UVA 0fer he threw up and his minutes were limited. Then the UNC game happened and he got "confident" in his shot again.

It just seems like KK wants Freeman to be a better shooter than he is. We have played our best when Freeman's offensive game and minutes have been much more limited.

^^maye was eating his lunch from the opening tip so KK benched him. we did a little better on maye in the mid to late 1st half, but by the 2nd half maye was eating everybody's lunch. we obviously sacrificed offense in hopes we could slow maye down...ultimately we didn't slow maye down and needed yurt's offense.
