Good stand up.
Just got around to graphing my first 1000 Omaha High hands from the PokerTracker Trial. Not bad results for .01/.02 and .02/.05, just a pain in the ass to play such low limits.

Question - How important is variety in improving overall success in poker?
I've been having absolutely zero success in Hold 'em cash games for the past 3 months. It's been a combination of horrendous beats and bad play. Basically I'm running bad and it's caused me to playing more passively - so worse. I don't like cash games nearly as much as tournaments, in which I've had considerably more success.
I'd like to play tournaments in the future, both home games and eventually in casinos. I'm perfectly willing to ditch cash games and instead focus strictly on tournaments. Still, I recognize the need to understand and have success in a variety of poker formats in developing into a stronger player.
So, if you were a casual poker player interested in improving your tournament poker skills, how critical is it to have success in cash games? 6/18/2007 12:03:15 PM |

We will run a 3 NLHE tourneys, one HORSE event, & one PLO event. Looking to get it set up either the week of the 4th or right after.
if you have thoughts or suggestions about times let me know. I will look to squeeze 5 events into a 14 day window.
your top 3 finishes will count.
I will run the events on full tilt. 6/18/2007 4:47:31 PM |
