Flynn was one dirty motherfucker.

Some are saying his response "Such a great country that allows you to be here" is racist.
I haven't actually watched the video, but this does seem to be a good example of a silly leftist, in the wrong, acting like a jerk that deserves to be berated.

However, Spicer (and Trump) deserve to be berated when Spicer says things like he did in today's press conference:
Quote : | ""I think there's no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 election," Spicer said. "The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities."
Wiretapping is a narrowly defined surveillance activity that involves tapping into "a telephone or telegram wire in order to get information," according to Merriam-Webster dictionary.
Spicer also said that Trump was referring to the Obama administration broadly -- and not accusing Obama of personal involvement -- when he tweeted that "Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower" and accused Obama of being a "bad" or "sick guy."" |

Agreed. Some reorganization of the Executive branch wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but god know I don't trust President Bannon and his Goldman Sachs cronies to do it. I imagine it'll be "Bain Capital-esque." Reorganize such that it looks good on paper, send out a bunch of press releases, Trump up how efficient you are now, behind the scenes short the whole thing, make sure your ass is covered and you have someone to blame (Obama) when it all implodes. 3/14/2017 10:44:15 AM |

Although he's not secret with his intent. He's talked and written about it plenty. That EO mentioned above seems designed for one purpose, and that is the elimination of the EPA and possibly the Dep. of Ed:
Quote : | " In developing the proposed plan described in subsection (c) of this section, the Director shall consider, in addition to any other relevant factors:
(i) whether some or all of the functions of an agency, a component, or a program are appropriate for the Federal Government or would be better left to State or local governments or to the private sector through free enterprise;
(ii) whether some or all of the functions of an agency, a component, or a program are redundant, including with those of another agency, component, or program;
(iii) whether certain administrative capabilities necessary for operating an agency, a component, or a program are redundant with those of another agency, component, or program;
(iv) whether the costs of continuing to operate an agency, a component, or a program are justified by the public benefits it provides; and
(v) the costs of shutting down or merging agencies, components, or programs, including the costs of addressing the equities of affected agency staff." |

^^^I wouldn't say that. There is legit cause for concern regarding this Russia stuff, maybe not so much with Trump specifically but absolutely his advisers/staff/etc. And the blatant lying by Trump is utterly astonishing, almost as much as his staff willfully trying to defend it.
What pisses me off is that getting access to his tax returns theoretically could put to rest any potential corporate connections with Russia/Putin. Even if they were benign connections, if they were in them then it would be proof of another lie (Trump saying he has nothing to do with Russia).
But now that the news has gone haywire publishing size 72 font headlines that ultimately lead to a story saying "Trump paid his taxes like everyone else," how many fewer people will pay attention if/when another tax return comes out. What's worse, it sounds like this tax return doesn't even display the normal amount of corruptness that you'd expect from a super rich person. Makes him look even cleaner.
Unless I'm missing something, this was incredibly irresponsible "reporting." And again, THIS is the shit that leads people to believe the media is worthless and dishonest.

It's a non-story for starters. It's not newsworthy. Being that NBC is a news organization (or at least supposed to be) it's irresponsible. Furthermore, her crazy tweets trying to garner all kinds of interest only to, again, deliver a story that says "12 years ago Donald Trump paid his taxes" is ridiculous and irresponsible.

While the amount of hype and buildup was frivolous and irresponsible, I believe that reporting should have been done. Regardless of that fact that they revealed nothing shady; just because it doesn't fit a narrative doesn't mean it isn't newsworthy. That being said, 1 tax return from 11 years ago does not disprove anything and makes me more suspicious of what he's trying to hide by covering with his trusty #fakenews foghorn. 3/15/2017 9:12:59 AM |

If she had anything that damning, she would have shared them from the start. TV is a ratings game, but an entire episode about highly damaging tax returns is just as likely to get you great ratings as milking the possibility that you have highly damaging tax returns, and less likely to get you compared to Geraldo. Maddow even went so far as to hold the tax returns back until after the first commercial break, as if we were watching an episode of The Bachelor and not a matter of national importance—because we weren’t, in fact, watching a matter of national importance, just a cable news show trying to set a ratings record." |
