are future islands as overrated in other states as they are in NC?

let me step back and say that i like them okay but don't understand the incessant praise at all. if anyone misses titus andronicus tonight to watch future islands they are a fucking idiot. fact.

they played about 6 songs, finished with "balance", which was fucking fantastic live.

now i'm even more torn between them and titus tonight;i did just get to see FI, but that was so fucking good i want more.

titus' lead singer was there today as well.

i'm still so fucking hungover i think i'm going to have to skip the rosebuds show. i'm just gonna stay home, watch our game against Wake and go down before flaming lips.

^ i'm def not trying to beat a dead horse, but i really think you'll regret not seeing titus, particularly if you haven't seen them live before. their live performance is just outrageous-- in a class all by itself

although i also know that the rabid raleigh fan-base for future islands will make that show absolutely electric.

so, i guess win-win, but i would def go to titus

saw both the day and night show for future islands. glad i did both. the day show was more of a sneak peak of the new album. they played a few of the new songs tonight as well, but it was mostly stuff off in evening air that most people knew.

looking forward to hearing the album version of "Tomorrow". that song is great.

i missed all that shit, unfortunately.

got there in time for the act before Future Islands.... who, honestly got on my nerves after a while. It was fine, just thought it was dragging on and I missed a good chunk of it.

but, i left immediately afterward. i was still feeling it, bad, from the night before...missed all those great Saturday afternoon shows other than FI.

The other issue was that Sam had to go do a panel at the City Museum at 3:00, so their set was already destined to be cut short by the asshole who couldn't keep his set the right length.

Going over a minute or three is not a big deal, but this guy played almost 40 minutes when he was slotted for 20-25.

They've had a BNT before, and it didn't turn into anything. Hopefully this is a suggestion of a BNM on Tuesday, though.

I really don't care what the score is, bit I know the album is fantastic and that a good score will bring lots pf good things for them. In that sense, I'm hoping for an 8.2+.
