Every photo and video I see just reinforces that these cops view these protestors as their enemy.

My question is how did the truck get on to an ostensibly closed highway? Did they just plow through barricades? Police blockades?

A lot of people were wearing masks and it was outdoors. But a lot of people weren’t wearing masks and shouting/singing has been associated with high degree of spreading.

NY Times pointed out too that tear gas exacerbates the spread and police seem to have an unending supply of tear gas. My guess is a very minimal bump just because people were outdoors.

I hate to say it buts its been fun watching the cat and mouse game between looters and LAPD. They are stationed everywhere but these "smash and grab" looters can hit a place clean in 3-5 minutses and get out seconds before 15 LAPD cruisers pull up. Then they are already hitting a next place while the cops go inside and investigate the previous location. The chopper zooms out and national guard are usually just blocks away.

Theres two main groups of looters
-pharmacy looters are clearing everything out and setting the place on fire. takes about 15 minutes start to finish
-teenagers are smashing the entrance and running in 50 at a time grabbing everything, then going back to a convoy of cars with drivers ready to pull off. 3-5 minutes from start to finish.

Cops only seem to be catching the first group. From the air, it seems like the second group knows where the cops are going before they get there. Its incredible.
