Warren staying in kills things, tough for Sanders to win now
Kinda funny though that Bloomberg spent hundreds of millions of dollars to end up playing spoiler to Biden and not Sanders, I wonder if he drops soon because of this 3/3/2020 12:57:26 PM |

^Bloombergs primary motive is to stop Sanders, even if it means getting Trump reelected. I don't think he drops out because he's an insurance policy in case Biden croaks on live TV while telling a childhood story about how he used to tie a lemon to his belt, which was the style at the time.
If he drops out, he won't be able to use his massive amounts of money to negatively campaign against Sanders, and it wouldn't surprise me if he pairs up with Biden, quite honestly. 3/3/2020 1:09:12 PM |

I'm gonna full meltdown tonight.
Bernie's cali lead is down to 7 Bidens up 27 in nc, 20 in virginia A tornado just hit the brooklyn of Nashville The bloomberg help isn't happening. People are coalescing around Biden. The democrats will lose because they are basing electability on who can do well in the reddest states. If the primary is determined by who can carry South Carolina, the general election will also be determined that way.
I'll move to another country in June 2021 when my contracts are up.

Betting markets are now shifting to Biden: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/elections/betting_odds/democratic_2020_nomination/
The DNC establishment is now completely behind Biden and will do whatever is necessary to secure his nomination. I think they will succeed.
From there, you will hear a lot of "vote blue no matter who," and some portion of Bernie bros will bend the knee, but most will just lose interest. Joe Biden is an awful candidate and a prolific gaffe machine. He'll probably lose the general worse than Hillary did. 3/3/2020 3:12:16 PM |

There's a "Democrats Abroad" delegation to the National Convention, they have more voice than a territory, but less than North Dakota in contrast.
Sanders won in 2016 with 68.8% to Clinton's 30.9%. He got 9 delegates to Clinton's 4. The only countries Clinton won were Dominican Republic, Singapore, and Nigeria (4 votes to 1).
Bonn, Germany results

Always wonder why some people would do this. For example, the "abroad" people that voted in a virtual Iowa Caucus would be ineligible to vote in this for reasons of double voting as the rules above make clear. But since you have to vote on a state ballot in November in order to vote in the general election, people voting "Democrats Abroad" are saying they either have no desire to vote in the general election in November, or are choosing to be a Democrat Abroad by choice by voting in a state election come November but not in its primary, and I doubt they're taking the time to do the hassle of deregistering their voter registration in a state to vote Democrats Abroad, and then re-registering in the state once the primaries are over. Meanwhile by voting abroad and not in a state, you're choosing to have zero influence on downballot races (like Governor, Senator, Representative. etc.).3/3/2020 4:11:51 PM |

Possibly. I can see that argument. My guess is he stays in for as long as he needs to in order to extract concessions from the Democratic machine. If he's a threat to Biden, he still has leverage to guarantee that a democratic presidency doesn't raise his taxes, which is all he wants. He doesn't actually want to win.3/3/2020 4:18:21 PM |

Quote : | "Scenes From The Campaign Trail In North Carolina
Over the weekend, Biden and his team held an event in Raleigh, North Carolina, at St. Augustine’s, a historically black university where Biden told voters about his time spent as Obama’s vice president and pitched them on his ability to beat Trump.
Perhaps the loudest reaction of the afternoon came when Rep. G. K. Butterfield told the crowd, “We’ve got to nominate a candidate who can win, not only the presidency, but win the state legislature, win the House, and yes, beat [Republican Sen.] Thom Tillis here in North Carolina.”
Butterfield also made digs at Sanders and Bloomberg, saying, “We’re not going to beat Donald Trump by running on Republican values or socialist schemes. We’re going to win this election as Biden Democrats, as Obama Democrats, as Roy Cooper Democrats.” (Cooper, the state’s Democratic governor, won by 0.2 percentage points against the Republican incumbent in 2016.)
Biden also stressed the importance of North Carolina in deciding the presidency, both in the general election and the nomination process.
“Literally, here in North Carolina, you hold in your hands the power to determine the next democratic nominee. That’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact,” Biden said. “If North Carolina stands with us on Tuesday, there’ll be no stopping us from there to the nomination.”" |
Butterfield is the black representative for the northeast North Carolina congressional district. I got drawn into his district in 2012 before I left Rocky Mount and North Carolina.

Biden doesnt have nearly as many field offices as Sanders, his geound game is much smaller. Hopefully thats just a result of his poor fundraising and he does a better job with that than Clinton dis if he gets the nomination.

Not what literally any poll has shown. And when a candidate drops out and endorses, usually even greater margins go to the endorsee. Warren can easily fuck Bernie out of winning large enough margins in Texas, California, and Massachusetts
Also I don't blame the voters, I blame the candidate. Always pointless to blame voters - I think they're morons, sure - but it's Warren's fault.
