This team was done without Barber. Needed him or Markell. Dez Lee and the Morrow dude added nothing.

They needed to not be made up of a bunch of Gottfried guys who don't have the faintest idea of how to play defense - Wood and Abu were especially lol-worthy on that end, also Walker but anyone who expected anything positive or of him was fooling themselves. At halftime there was a highlight reel of one CAT5 guy and all his points and they were all against Walker as the primary defender. In the second half, they had about 3 consecutive possessions that ended in alley oops, all because Abu just completely spaced out and forgot his man.

This team had some bad breaks - namely the myriad of good 3 point looks that just wouldn't fall, but they weren't gonna win with the piss poor defensive effort. Not even a adding a PG would have changed that (especially not one who had a habit of lackadaisical defensive play himself.)

Y7 is still a project and I liked the Martin twins but they weren't superstars that were going to put us over the top. They transferred for playing time which is fine, and isn't the fault of any TWWer.

To be fair, there are TWWers who think Vandenberg was good, so in their minds comparing yurtseven to him is a positive.

The Martin twins transferred because the coach was a fucking idiot and played a no-talent ass clown over both of them. Yurtseven transferred because ???? I am glad the Martins transferred in one respect, because they would have never sniffed the NBA if they had continued to play in Gottfried's "system".

I remember people saying the Martins leaving wasn’t a big deal.

I remember people saying Yurtseven wasn’t nba ready and might not fit into KK’s offense. But I don’t remember people saying he was garbage.
