Keatts has turned his HS recruiting failures around by being the portal king, I guess. Something going around showing where elite 8 starting 5s originated and State was only team where all started somewhere else. And of course it goes beyond that to our top 7. Have to get to 8th man up Pass before you find a HS recruit. Hopefully this success can lead to more immediate portal success!

+ cred for defense throughout this run and especially last night. Limited Edey to a degree, held Purdue to some of their lowest offensive numbers all year, forced turnovers. We had a plan defensively it worked.

Also Hewitt wasn't terrible at GT(very inconsistent but not terrible), it's just that his contract was hilariously bad and impossible to get out of because it had an automatic rollover and a full buyout so there was never a way to fire him that wasn't going to cost them the full 6 year dollar amount. That won't ever be the case for Keatts because his contract does not automatically roll over. If he doesn't perform well he won't get extended.

Yeah the poll is horseshit. Bama at 3 while we’re at 10 is a joke. I get that you can argue we weren’t *that* good over the entire season. But our conference tournament and NCAAT run is more impressive than Bama’s. Putting us at 10 feels like they’re saying we got lucky or had an easy path to the F4. Definitely not the case.
