I think he gets it right on psychedelic drugs, but that's mostly it.

some of his podcast episodes are pretty good, entertaining enough to listen to while driving. some of the recent good ones were elon musk, penn jillette, david goggins, alex jones (lol)

from what i can tell his politics are like an unwoke bernie bro. i try to listen to his podcast if i care about the guest. not a fan of the MMA talk which he tries to creep into almost every episode

I'll admit to not listening so I can't judge entertainment, but that last note is his main problem: through some both sides, marketplace of ideas bullshit instinct (I think) he gives total scumbags a platform.

I've heard he also sells Alex Jones-ish snake oil products, although I can't vouch for that.

^^ i listen somewhat regularly and i'm not even sure what the sponsors are, he puts them at the beginning and end so you can easily skip them. you can start at about 5 mins then hit 30sec skip button until you hear: Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night! All day!

The Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson podcasts are pretty fascinating. That being said I spoke to one of my buddies who's an ancient history professor at NCSU and he wasn't too impressed.

One of my friends 100% believes he was visited by aliens because of joe rogan. I can see value in some of what rogan does but he’s not cautious enough with his statements on certain topics.

Heard of versus knowing enough of their opinions to form an opinion is a wide gap. I've heard of Alex Jones and Peterson but not the other two.

There are a couple of billion on Rogan alone Other than Sandy Hook denier Alex Jones I'd be pretty incredulous if you disagreed or had an informed opinion on everything.

I'd prefer to get Bernie's take in a two hour podcast instead of with 20 second sound bites and flag waving graphics.

*looking around for logical gymnastics*

Love my podcasts where they chat with white supremacists and people spreading dangerous conspiracy theories.

Mcginnes and Jones are the headliners anyway.

Peterson and crowder are huge douches and bigots, but pale next to Jones and mcginnes.

Don't know Crowder or McGinnis, just claiming it's unlikely you can know any of their positions in depth without study. Fuck, most of the podcasts are 3 hours. How would you know you disagreed with them without listening to them?

So, what's the process to determine who is and isn't abhorrent? Do you you Google everyone of the hundreds of guests and determine who you can and can't listen to?

Takes a ton of work to know if I can agree with the leader of a white supremacist group.

You can listen to whoever the fuck you want to. Are you claiming that Rogan just blindly opens a phone book and blindly chooses his guests?

Found some Rogan.

Nah I'm saying how do you know their positions in advance? The guests seem random if you don't know who they are.
