I agree about Hill. We haven’t had a guard like him in a while. T, Joiner, Horne were all great but Joiner and Horne were a little undersized and seemed to struggled to finish around the rim. And T, while he wasn’t short, didn’t have the frame to take a lot of contact. Hill seems like the type of guy that can draw fouls when he gets in the lane. Something those past guards struggled with.

Still remains to be seen how Hill’s game will translate to ACC competition and he doesn’t seem like much of a threat from deep.

For 3 point shooters, Taylor is super streaky. MOC is a solid spot up shooter. And Styles seems like he’s a good catch and shoot guy too. But none of them are good at a step back 3 or pulling up off the dribble like past guards have been. Which does make it harder to know who the go to guy is when you need a bucket. Maybe Mike James can be a creator, not really familiar with him yet.

Ideally sure but I think a nice screenshot will do.... preferably with the volume slider on the side after you miss the first time.

Process to get in felt worse -- seemed like I was funneled in a single lane halfway around the stadium -- but the ticketing itself was not too bad. They've got attendants at each parking zone entrance who scan the parking pass mobile ticket same as the digital game tickets.

Yeah we were ice cold from the 3 all night. Granted, I really didn't think we took 10 shots -- could've swore it was only like 6 for most of the night -- but I don't think this is a big 3 shooting team. More spread the ball around and create movement / favorable looks. Would like to work on that, but who's the sniper in this rotation? No one has a fantastic % from out deep.

Last 3 games NC State won without a 3 pointer:

- 3/4/1989 vs Wake Forest (W 110-103, 4OT) - 0-11
- 1/16/2024 vs Wake Forest (W 83-76) - 0-8
- 11/13/2024 vs Coastal Carolina (W 82-70) - 0-10

watched the condensed game this morning on youtube.

This offense is heavy on the pick and roll and mid range jumper. Right around the elbow is the sweet spot. I like that Hill, Taylor, Parker etc can all hit that shot.

However...State will get dominated on the boards and in the paint against ACC teams with skilled and sizable bigs.

Definitely excited about James. Don’t know what to expect out of the Canadian big man. I suspect he’ll only play when BHH and BM are both in foul trouble

Idk if I’m ready to say this team is better than last years team. To be fair, maybe I’m letting the 9 game win streak cloud my memory…last years team was not good for the majority of the season.

We need shooters. So far we don’t have anybody like Horne on this team. This team is very deep and i think has a high ceiling.

Styles & Taylor/MOC are going to be able to hit a good enough % from outside so we should be fine. And Hill looks to be able to get to the basket at will…he’ll be more of a problem for other teams by end of season than Horne was IMO.
