They played Lincoln Theater in 2009 while roadtesting material that would eventually make it onto High Violet. Nothing better than The National in an intimate venue.

^^ great venue. get there early/gate time to get lawn seats with a decent sightline to the stage (if going to be a full-ish show)

you can also stand right in front of the stage (pretty cool, given you usually have to pay extra for that)

Tool was great last night. They were my number 1 band that I hadn't seen yet. My only complaint was the vocals on Vicarious. Not sure what type of effects he was using but when it got to the climax of the song I could barely hear him.
