I would like to start by asking richtofen to elaborate

Quote :
"empties the trash cans at odd times"

what is considered an odd time to empty a trashcan? ps I totally get that you miss your old cleaning lady, I know how that feels, especially when you have OCD and realize you are cleaning up after the new person because you cannot handle the way they "clean". That is why when you find that you have an awesome cleaning person, be sure to show your appreciation

and this is an interesting question acraw, I have no idea and I am interested in the possible answers

Well, definitely don't lie about being fired. If you felt your boss truly was micro-managing, it wouldn't be a terrible thing to say that, but frame it as you not fitting in with the management culture, you could have done some things differently, but it's probably the best for all involved because blah blah blah. It's good in an interview for your potential boss to know the kind of leadership styles to which you respond well, and if he's a micro-managing dickhead, then you don't want to work for him anyway. I'd definitely bring up that your previous performance reviews were excellent, it's just this one instance where you didn't fit in, and painfully so (three weeks is obvious). Be honest, but do it in a way that acknowledges that you share some of the blame for it, even if you don't think you do. Hell, it might not even be a bad thing to say that you and your boss didn't get along, because people understand that. If you have a pattern of that, then, sure, it looks bad. Once? Fuck it, maybe her boss really was a dickhead. The main thing is DON'T bad-mouth your last boss. It makes you look really bad.

I believe if Dante rewrote the Inferno for contemporary sins, there would be a level devoted to people who schedule meetings before 9 am.

We just hired a "power point expert" that started this week. Yesterday he asked me how to change the padding in a table cell.

I am not looking forward to the next month...

Only he is making me wonder how much he exaggerated his power point skills.

I imagine it was on her own accord. I never said anything to the landlords and they aren't the type of guys who would kick out a tenant because they have a crying baby. I think she's probably just going to work from home now.

PTSA provided lunch for teachers today and gave us a spread of lasagna, etc. BUT they didn't label the lasagna and I didn't notice until I got to my room that I had a big ol scoop of the vegetarian lasagna

People who send me "High Importance" emails because they need urgent help with a client issue, I respond immediately, and they disappear for the next 4 hours.

If you need urgent help, don't leave your computer for 4 hours.

Along the same lines, people who submit trouble tickets with a high priority (meaning we have a certain amount of time to resolve it per SLA) and then disappear. Or, groups who receive a high priority ticket, then let it sit in their box until the SLA timer is almost up, then transfer it. Which makes it our fault when it goes over, unless whoever is doing the auditing troubles themselves to open the ticket and look at its path through the system.

Fieldwork is increasingly looking like it MUST be completed on Monday, we are getting close but it is still a full day's work. Coworker can't meet to leave (the site is about an hour away) until 930. How in the fuck???

A lot of my work has settled down, and I'm now trying to do some really basic shit at work connecting to a new system to try and get ahead of some upcoming requirements. I seem to have been given incorrect connection information. Absolutely no one on the team responsible for the system I need to connect to has been at work for the past week, and none will be back until January 5th. I sure hope the system doesn't go down.

Not going to go into that, or our broken rememdy system, lack of any integration, and a process team that thinks increasing the amount of processes counts as productive work.

Or a change management system, with no CIs in it.
