I mean...it's not like Dany, Tyrion, or anyone else on that war council (aside from *maybe* Grey Worm) are brilliant military strategists. They went ahead and went after all their main targets at once, so just by the virtue of Jaime hedging his bets he could've been prepared for them. Euron's fleet is the fastest and strongest around, so it's no huge leap that he could've scouted the hell out of them and been ready.

I might be mis-remembering...but I believe she was a nurse for the Lannister army (and her family was one of their bannermen). I thought they met after Robb defeated the Lannister's in battle and she was tending to the wounded. Hence people were leery of her intentions with Robb.


On the "spy" side...it's tough to argue about army tactics when the show is taking a lot of liberties with time and location. Absolutely nothing makes sense in regards to how ships are getting to and from Dragonstone/Casterly Rock/Kings Landing.

If you go by the distance from Dragonstone to Kings Landing, no one would think they would be attacked at the same time. I can see it likely that Jamie would pull a significant portion of the army from Casterly Rock and go after High Garden just because they needed the gold and it should be an easy fight regardless. But because the Greyjoy Armada came in and attacked the Unsullied fleet means that they knew that they were going to be there.

Just my opinion.

She was a nurse tending to everyone, but the show itself did help fuel speculation that she might have been a spy, she was writing a letter in high valyrian, which Robb couldn't read, and so when he asked about it she "joked" that she was writing to Tywinn Lanister, but the show definitely tried to sow some seeds of doubt there.

Missandei being a spy would make zero sense. Also Jamie straight up told us why they went to high garden, he learned from Robb Stark, and when he said that, the only other person in the room was a woman he was about to kill, zero reason not to tell the truth.

I think it was mostly just the first or second episode she was on where she seemed possibly suspicious. They showed her writing the letter, and later (maybe directly afterwards) cut to that scene with Arya serving Tywinn and he's reading a letter from one of his spys

^He's limited to Winterfell, but isn't that just where he need to be? Ned can now lead Winterfell when they are under siege by the white walker army, while Jon can be working with Danny on Dragonstone.

If it hadn't already happened with Littlefinger's army saving Jon, I would say that Jon will probably return just in time with Dragonglass to save Winterfell's ass, and then father and son reunite. But either way, their reunion will be pretty exciting.
