Another interesting thing is that INO's current market cap at this price is around $3.5 billion while MRNA's cap is $25 billion, which is ridiculous considering both have a very similar number of vaccines/therapeutics in clinical testing. MRNA has a $500 billion per year burn rate (4x INO's). Neither have any FDA approved products but, INO is much further along ...INO has double the number in Phase 2 trials and one that is in Phase 3 (MRNA has zero Phase 3s). I think this speaks more to MRNA's overvalue than INO's undervalue.

Sometimes basic math blows my mind. I know it and get it but can't do it quickly in my head.

If you gain 10% one day

and then lose 10% the next day

you're not at the same place.

Some people here will call me dumb or think i'm shitposting just for saying this but its what my mind wants to think even though I know it isn't true. If you had 100 and gained 10%, you have 110. If you lose 10% the next day, you now have 99. You lost 1% in that two day period. Yes, its obvious but my subconscious can't understand it at all.

100 and gain 50 % to 150. Lose 50% to 75. Gaining 50% and then losing 50% is losing 25%. Am I the only one who is bugged by this?

Lots of profit taking this morning and probably another huge attack from short sellers to shake out the loose hands. NVAX and MRNA also down, however. Hold for the Phase 1 results - they should be PRed on Monday but I bet a lot of people were betting on it being today and got cold feet.

One huge advantage INO will have over others such as Moderna, is that it does not require any cold-chain storage. INO’s vaccine has a 1-year shelf life at room temperature.

The limited data released was very positive and appear to be in line with their MERS vaccine results...a 94% immune response rate is great and it also was 100% effective in the mice challenge. I think the market got a bit spooked since they didn't go into any detail in the PR and it was a preliminary readout (full results will be published in peer-reviewed journal). The same thing happened to MRNA...they PRed preliminary/limited results and their share price took a hit afterwards. Another factor is that it was due for a correction after the huge run up.

They are now officially part of Warp Speed so much more funding is definitely coming (from the US/DoD and CEPI) now that they are moving to Phase 2/3...they are also initiating trials in China and South Korea. I think it's short-sighted and silly for anyone to bounce and take a loss considering what is coming. DoD had obviously seen the data before deciding to dump $100M in funding for production of their delivery device. They didn't do that just for shits and giggles.

INO dropped the ball by promising Phase 1 readouts by end of June for the past couple of months. However, the analyses/data crunching are not yet complete and as a result, they were forced to PR what limited data they have thus far.

INO says that 94% of patients generated an immune response although they did not show a breakdown of those (binding/neutralizing antibodies and T-cell generation). Look at their MERS data below...94% exibitied antibodies and 88% T-cell generation. Although they have not presented the breakdown for the COVID-19 vaccine, it is certainly close to those MERS vaccine numbers. Their safety profile is also unmatched as compared to Moderna and Pfizer's...several of their patients had significant side effects and one of Moderna's patients even had to be hospitalized.

They are going to get a significant rebound once additional funding is announced. Like I've said, DoD has already seen the data they have at this point and they were confident enough to drop $100 million in initial funding based on what they have seen.

In reality, Pfizer had the optimal release of data, publishing in a paper, rather than as a press release. you would think the likes of MRNA and INO would learn this lesson, as this isnt the first time they have been burned by a PR with lack of data.
