- despite a frosh qb, we gave up less than 2 sacks per game
- not sure how to see holding/false start stats, but state generally has one of the lower penalty rates anyway
- once anae committed to the run more often late season, we had some excellent totals
- if you look back at early seaosn bad rush plays, you'll see many examples of well blocked plays that ask RB to beat one guy and they don't, RBs hit gaps better later in the year
- early teams prob stacked boxes until Bailey proved he could do something, this one is just anecdotal
- mid year anae tried to make Bailey a designed rush play qb, he's a good scrambler but doesn't seem to be a good designed rush runner, this also resulted in some bad looking run plays
- we had two players make all acc 3rd team, one was our Center


I don't have access to those PFF ratings, I'd be curious whether that matches my opinion

Early in the year our run game sucked. I think the OL took a lotta of blame for that. Idk what’s fair or not as far as that goes. But by the end of the year they protected CJB and we ran well. Idk.

It is definitely that he doesn't want to work with Doeren and definitely has nothing to do with not uprooting his family for a lateral (or step down) move when he's likely to get head coaching opportunities very soon. Also SC would easily match any money we offered.

I would generally say that firing a coach over their performance in the military bowl is kinda dumb. It’s a glorified exhibition. But. The performance and effort from the top down is pretty inexcusable

With the game on the line Raphael gets his 3rd and 4th carry of the game instead of Smothers.

We have no rhythm offensively. I think Anae sucks but I think the rotation stuff is on DD. Not giving your best players the ball consistently is ultimately on the HC

And I think that’s what DD wants. That’s frustrating. You can’t play to win by 1 point.
