^Fair enough, I just skimmed the thread to get the overall feeling of what people were thinking. If people think Russell was gonna lead us to the promised land then they must believe he automatically made our O-Line better.

I was really disappointed in Anthony Hill. I read all this stuff about how he's All-ACC and a beast and he didn't really look all that great. Not that he had a lot of opportunity to stand out but still, letting in the rusher that beasted Wilson and dropping that Beck pass were not his best moments.

thing is, when evans came in "aw hell what is evans gonna do this time" wen through everyones mind. then when he trhew that pick six everyone knew we had no chance. thats about the same time the d said screw it.

I haven't read this whole thread ... too depressed. Will offer my thoughts though:

- The defense played good. Really good. They eventually wore down and seemed to get deflated by State's offense, but they were definitely a bright spot. Props to O'brien and Archer for having them ready to play.

- Nate Irving could be all-ACC, possibly all-American by the time he's done here. I haven't seen a LB like him at State since Levar Fisher.

- The D-Line got a great push all night. Beecher was horrible, but they made sure he was horrible.

- On offense, Brown ran tough, but didn't seem to have that extra gear once he got going. Still, very solid effort.

- Daniel Evans will always be Daniel Evans. You can't fault him really, the skill just isn't quite there.

- Our WR didn't help him out any. Seemed like they couldn't get any seperation from the DBs all night. I know SC has a good secondary, but damn.

- TJ Graham played a lot more than I thought he would, for better or worse. I like the speed he brings, but he's got a ways to go.

- Finally, the final score is misleading in this game. The defense played great and our running game had it's moments against a good defense. I for one hope Wilson comes back and plays next weekend, if only to build up some confidence and give us a little bit of hope. This team isn't as far off as most people think...

props to iceman, the op, and ^ this guy. Sorry if I missed anyone else who knows how this game is played.

^ also I had an eye on TJ Graham for most of the game and he was seriously playing his heart out, just got to figure out how to catch the football when you've got the adrenaline flowing.

there is no way that glennon would make that much of a difference. i'm big on glennon, but there just isn't enough talent around him on offense for us to win five games. at least, not the way the offense played last night. glennon cannot single-handedly win games. unless he really is the second coming of our lord and savior, phillip rivers, which i have heard.

I don't understand why people are suprised by Brown think that Eugene should be our running back. Brown and Baker were way ahead of Eugene before last season when they got hurt. Brown and Baker are two studs and are one of the reasons TOB came here. They are the only pro prospects on the team.
